The project

The “Illumina il Futuro” project reaches its second edition.
Liter Of Light Italia and AEM Foundation, with the collaboration of the “IIS Severi Correnti” High School, given the excellent results of the past training and cooperation path, have decided to replicate their format in the school year 2016/2017.

3 workshops were held with the participation of as many classes of the institute.
A further Workshop was created on the occasion of the national day for energy saving “M’Illumino di Meno 2017” with the participation of the employees of the AEM Foundation.

During the meetings with the students, the staff of Liter Of Light Italia led the attention on the problem of the lack of energy access that still afflicts a large part of the World population.

After the introduction, the students built, with the support of the staff of Liter Of Light Italia, the Solar Lanterns of the NGO: functioning Kerosene Lanterns converted to Solar Energy Lights.

The circuits created were subsequently installed within the “Kaffrine” project in April 2017.

During the project, in collaboration with the NGO “COMI – Cooperation for the developing world”, 150 Solar Lanterns were built for private illumination in the houses of 14 rural communities that collaborate with the NGO in Senegal.
