In October 2016, Liter Of Light Italia began a new journey in the South African “Rustlers Valley”, where it installed 20 Streetlights in the communities of Cookhouse and Bedford, in the Freestate.

The installation of the Streetlights was the conclusion of the “We Are Energy 2016” project, during which the 60 students participating created the Streetlights which were subsequently shipped to South Africa.
Parallel to the installation activities, Liter Of Light Italia has carried out a Workshop path aimed at technically training local beneficiaries about StreetLight technology, so as to make the intervention sustainable over time.

During another series of workshops, held in the Rustlers Valley, Liter Of Light Italia created and distributed 50 Solar Lanterns for the private lighting of the valley’s off-grid communities.
